Duet for eyes, Dublin
In this world premiere of a DUET for EYES, James Brosnan & Katie Gilligan lead a team of artists and engineers in a real time music and dance jam using the pioneering MyTobii system: a special computer that is controlled simply by looking at the screen. It looks like an ordinary 'tablet' computer but it has a special camera built into it and low-level infra-red lights.

Lizbeth Goodman wins Outstanding Woman in Technology
A glamorous evening was had by the SMARtlab team and especially by Prof. Lizbeth Goodman, who received recognition for SMARTlabs work on TRUST and Interfaces as Best woman in technology (Public sector and academia) and also as the overall winner of this years Outstanding Woman in Technology award at the 2008 Blackberry Women in Technology Awards, held at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London, on Tuesday 6 May.
