the actual and the virtual. There is no simulation, but substitution."

A multi-channel Video/Audio project - duration 4 minutes
Two actors (real or virtual) engage each other in conversation, each on opposing screens. They are filmed close up, their images move in a natural way are they simulations or stylised reality. The most advanced artificial voice engine interprets data from the audio tracks to affect the image. The constantly changing actors, will be at their most pronounced when they emote. Subtle cues will intensify the emotions being portrayed on the screens.
I shall attempt to immerse the audience in this performance by blending both traditional theatrical performance (the actors), and advanced technological methods together. This synthesis of traditional performance and complex digital interpretation will allow the viewer to explore and interpret the performance for themselves, whilst offering the familiarity of a linear narrative.
