SMARTlab to launch SMARTgym
SMARTlab is aiming for a summer unveiling of the new SMARTgym sponsored by Blackberry/Rim. At Blackberry's Women in Technology awards ceremony, earlier in May, Professor Lizbeth Goodman, Director of the SMARTlab Digital Media Institute, was presented with awards for the Best Woman In Technology (Public Sector And Academia) and for Outstanding Woman In Technology. Professor Goodman, said: "Rather than using the award to purchase goods and services for our core team, we have permission instead to use our awards to set up this unique gym/wellness training facility with biosensor and big screen playback, as part of our ongoing research into physical fitness, disability empowerment and community wellbeing >>> Read more

Graduate Fashion Week star Simon Waller (24) was one of three UEL students whose final collection was developed using MAGICbox laser technology.
